So this spring/summer is time warping back to the awesome seventies amongst other things; think groupie girl tributes, retro vibes, boho and denim ensembles. If you still have those pair of denim flares that have been discarded in the bottom of your wardrobe for years, lucky you! Now’s the time to dust them off and put them on!! Treat yourself to a suede jacket in a nice sugar colour (if its got tassels, all the better) and don some platform heels (not forgetting a floaty floral top) and off you go in all your on trend gloriousness!

If you want to get down with the beauty regimes of the SS15 catwalks opt for fresh dewy skin, beachy waves and wine coloured stained lips, or go completely au natural like Marc Jacob’s models and go barefaced and beautiful! I’ve got to say its refreshing to see the natural beauty of the models, I changed my beauty regime to bare faced and moisturised last year, but I still don the full works when I’m on stage performing, stage lights melt it all off if you don’t apply enough! But other than that its nice to keep it minimal and let your skin breathe when you can.

Tips for SS15:

  • Get the season’s ‘It’ bag by purchasing a saddle bag as seen on a major brand catwalk, Its going to be big.
  • Get street style savvy by purchasing some trainers, preferably blinged up.
  • Hop on board with the utility trend and get your multiple pockets on.
  • Invest in some tulle items, tulle graced the catwalk in the shapes of layered skirts and controlled tulle detailing.
  • Suede is the material to watch, be it shoes, jackets or accessories, its being adored across the fashion scene and ties in well with the seventies comeback.
  • Get your mermaid fix with nautical, fairytale glam (or shell I say clam…sorry) think scale sequins, shimmering watery shades and materials, flowing fabric, shell prints and much more.
  • Set your seventies throwback off with a pair of killer platform heels.
  • Get ready to bare your d├ęcolletage this season with off the shoulder tops and dresses.
  • Grab yourself some leather for those summer days when you want to make a fashion statement (albeit a slightly sweaty one if we have a heatwave)
  • Gingham! yep, grab your gran’s table cloths and a sewing machine, it’s totally in!
  • Super size silhouettes are storming the runway’s, think sleek hip skimming tunics and billowing skirts.
  • Grab yourself a pair of statement trousers, think bright, pattered and bold, you’ll be looking spot on.
