IMG_8767 (2)There’s been so many forms of embellishment on the runway, It’s enough to turn anyone into a human magpie!! We’ve seen it on pretty much everything- from jeans encrusted with jewels to little trunk handbags with trinkets galore.

You can have so much fun with embellishment, it depends how flamboyant you want to be; mix some embroidered items with sequins or diamanté for a powerful impact.

I’m also loving the boho embellishments like cowrie shells and mirrors for that Banjara look. Id probably wear a floral dress teamed with a boho embellished belt, a tasselled shoulder bag and some tasselled boots if I was going to wear a highly embellished look.

Ann here is wearing a stunning dress by Monsoon, it was rather heavy due to all that bling on it! We teamed it with just a pair of patent black heels, and if you were to add a bag id probably go for a patent clutch in either royal blue or black. If we were to add a coat id opt for a light waterfall jacket, midi or maxi.

If your feeling inspired and crafty you could even embellish your own clothes, maybe that fave pair of jeans that are looking a bit tired now, wack some embroidery or jewels on them and voilĂ ! Instant recovery and bang on trend.
